This weekend will be mighty awesome since a very special friend of mine is coming to visit me for the first time - previously I have always visited him on the West Coast.
It will be simply great since we always have the best time together and I wanna show him my city and my hangouts.

Cherry Shopping

Apart from shopping hygiene bits and bobs, a box of wine for the weekend and a cute new case mate ”Barely There” in pink (what else) for my beloved iPhone, I also spent lunch shopping online at the CherryCulture Thanksgiving Sale.
Eyeshadows, fake lashes, brushes, lip gloss, nail polish, lip and eye pencils etc all 20% off and to an astonishing price. Thanks Kati for introducing me to the world’s best make-up online store:)

Fantastic Emil Jensen

Last night I had dinner at Muggen in Slussen with E & E before heading to the Emil Jensen show at Södra Teatern. This show, the last one of his lenghty tour, turned out to be a fantastic performance mixing beautiful strings and piano with thoughtful lyrics and Spoken Word sessions on Love, sorrow, politics, religion, environment and existence. Simply beautiful and fantastic - Emil captured my heart!

Last night turned out to be a real lazy one. I just didn’t feel like going out all, especially not with rain pouring outside, so I just stayed in munchin’ on sushi, a big lollie bag and watched movies;

British film “Morvern Callar” about this British white trash girl taking a holiday in Spain when finding her boyfriend dead after committing suicide in their home, very weird, and then HBO’s “The Notorious Bettie Page” – a great portrait of the beautiful and controversial pin-up model from the South thru better and worse. I was actually not aware that Bettie’s photos and films were often very S/M inspired including spanking, bondage and gag balls in porn outfits. This woman had dangerous curves, courage and creativity.

The music is really pointing in all different directions and it’s impossible to get a grip. No way. Plus for cute lead guitarist tho.

One thing that must be majorly overrepresented in Sweden is embarrassing blogs by dull fake blondes with lip augmentations and shit loads of bronzer in their face. These girls have nothing unique about them but all in common – They all represent the tragic life you might end up having if you believe that doing nothing productive is the objective, unless you would categorize being productive as planning potential boob implants, next week’s diet or future shopping.

Lacking self-esteem, these girls preferably turn their focus to others by bullying and spreading mean rumors about others – especially those that might feel threatening to them. All to get more readers and attention regardless of the consequences this might have for others and their own future.

These girls are trend setters to young and insecure high schoolers copying their attitude and style meaning that we’ll have an entire generation of girls growing up with no ability to think for themselves – uneducated and unwilling to work for their own living.

T.G.I.F BITCH!

This week has really been a pain in the ass work wise – Not for the fact that I have lots to stress about but more for the fact that it’s getting extremely difficult to work productively when the sun is up a few hours during the day – if at all – and then sets at 3.30 in the afternoon why it’s pitch black outside. I seriously don’t believe that people are meant to be living in this part of the world – It’s a mystery how Nordics survive the fall and winter months and I often ask myself why the hell I’m putting up with it…again!

Oh well enough of the bitchin’ – Lunch was great munching on my homemade wok (for the third day in a row) and then taking a refreshing walk around some Solna Park with a take-away coffee and a smoke with cutie pie Katia. We will for sure make this a tradition as long as the weather allows (walks in snow storms are usually not a fav of mine).

At 2 pm Marketing Department had a coffee break and it was great getting a pause from the computer staring and eating some home baked apple- and chocolate cake from a colleague in the lounges downstairs. A lot worse going back to the screen staring tho, and now I’m really ready to head home.

Or actually, to my mom’s place where we will have dinner and celebrate that my one little brother got a new job and his driver’s license and another little brother has bought a new apartment with his fiancé. Will be great seeing everyone as per usual…but before I head over there I’ll go for some window shopping in the mall here. T.G.I.F!!!

Tix to KISS - Sonic Boom Over Europe: From The Beginning To The Boom Tour 2010 is now in my possession since 10 am today when first released in Sweden.
Me and Vic will party like true Rockstars on Stadion on June 12 and it will be a complete BLAST!

The new album Sonic Boom released last month is a great piece of art reflecting the early Kiss days and successfully creating the spot on sleaze/glam ambience that I have been hoping for from these guys. Russian Roulette, Hot and Cold and All For The Glory are a few examples of great songs appearing on this heaven sent album!

Face2Face with LUC BESSON

I must admit it was pretty annoying noticing I had neglected and email from Stockholm Film Festival advising that this year’s Visionary Award was to be received by director and producer Luc Besson last night at Skandia Biografen followed by and interview giving the public a chance to meet the genius face to face. Most people that know me would know how much of a fan of his I am, so missing out on this was truly a disgrace!
